Job summary

Raytheon is seeking an experienced SAP/Data Architect to design, implement, and optimize SAP BW/7.x and BW/4HANA models, with migration to SAP Datasphere and BDC. You will translate legacy structures into CDS views and Datasphere entities while ensuring data quality and governance across BW, Datasphere, and SAC integrations.

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BW (7.x) and/or BW/4HANA including expertise in InfoProviders, ADSOs, Open ODS Views, CompositeProviders, Process Chains, and BEx query development.
• Experience migrating SAP BW objects to SAP Datasphere and converting InfoObjects/InfoProviders into CDS Views for cloud consumption.
• Experience with SAP ECC/S4 modules and extractors (FI/CO, SD, MM, HR, etc.).
• Experience enabling analytics in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) including Model creation, Story building, and integration with Datasphere.
• U.S. Citizen - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP BW data models (InfoCubes, InfoObjects, InfoProviders, ADSOs, CompositeProviders, MultiProviders).
• Lead migration of BW 7.x models to SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) and Datasphere data modeling.
• Convert BW objects into CDS views for cloud consumption and data fabric integration.
• Map legacy BW to Datasphere entities (Datasets, Views, Replication Flows).
• Improve BW and Datasphere performance via optimization and load orchestration.
• Collaborate with analysts, data architects, and SAP teams to translate requirements.
• Support reporting migration from BEx Queries to SAC Stories, Models, and Apps.
• Maintain data quality, governance, lineage, and metadata standards across environments.
• Troubleshoot data loads, performance issues, and integration errors.
• Document designs, data flows, and operational procedures.

Job description

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP BW data models, including InfoCubes, InfoObjects, InfoProviders, ADSOs, CompositeProviders, and MultiProviders.
• Lead and support the migration of BW 7.x models and logic to SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), including Datasphere data modeling, Data Fabric integration, and SAC reporting enablement.
• Convert BW InfoObjects, InfoProviders, and transformation logic into CDS views and semantically rich data models required for BDC consumption.
• Map legacy BW objects to modern Datasphere entities (Datasets, Views, Replication Flows, Data Builder objects).
• Enhance BW and Datasphere performance through query optimization, process chain tuning, load orchestration, and data flow monitoring.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business analysts, data architects, and functional SAP teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support reporting development and migration from BEx Queries to SAC Stories, Models, and Analytic Applications.
• Maintain data quality, governance, lineage, and metadata standards across SAP BW, Datasphere, and enterprise data environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data load issues, system performance problems, and integration errors.
• Document technical designs, data flows, conversion approaches, and operational procedures.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BW (7.x) and/or BW/4HANA including expertise in InfoProviders, ADSOs, Open ODS Views, CompositeProviders, Process Chains, and BEx query development.
• Solid understanding of the migration of SAP BW objects to SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) using SAP Datasphere including practical experience converting InfoObjects and InfoProviders into CDS Views or equivalent semantic models for cloud consumption.
• Experience with SAP ECC/S4 modules and extractors (FI/CO, SD, MM, HR, etc.).
• Experience enabling analytics in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) including Model creation, Story building, and integration with Datasphere.
• U.S. Citizen - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Knowledge of ABAP for BW enhancements is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with cloud data technologies such as Snowflake.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Exposure to DataOps or CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
