Job summary

CJ is seeking a Data Engineer in the United States to design, build and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines supporting analytics, AI/ML, and reporting. You will work across cloud platforms and modern lakehouse architectures to deliver governed data for multiple teams.

The role requires 3 days/week in CJ offices and work authorization in the U.S. You will collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, Product and Engineering to deliver trusted data assets.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering or analytics engineering.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, AWS, Snowflake, or Google Cloud.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with Spark and distributed data processing (PySpark preferred).
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows.
• Understanding of Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Medallion architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL and Spark-based technologies.
• Advocate AI-native engineering workflows and related developer tools to improve productivity and quality.
• Build data ingestion frameworks leveraging APIs, SFTP, cloud storage, databases, and third-party integrations.
• Develop data products within a modern Data Lakehouse architecture following Medallion design principles.
• Create and optimize data workflows, orchestration, monitoring, and reliability for pipelines.
