Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Data Engineer for the People Analytics team to design and maintain data pipelines and data models in cloud platforms, enabling HR analytics and reporting. You will work across Workday HRIS data sources, define data governance, and collaborate with HR leaders to deliver scalable analytics solutions.

You will mentor engineers, promote best practices, and contribute to secure, compliant data workflows supporting workforce insights and decision making.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Data Engineering.
• 3+ years' experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
• 3+ years' experience with SQL and relational databases.
• 2+ years' experience programming in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis.
• 3+ years' experience with cloud platforms, prefer GCP (Azure or AWS acceptable).
• 2+ years' experience with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• 2+ years' experience with scheduling tools like Airflow or Composer.
• Experience with Workday or similar HRIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage data pipelines and ETL processes for HR data integration.
• Develop and optimize data workflows for accuracy, quality, and availability.
• Provide mentorship and guidance on best practices in data engineering.
• Collaborate with HR and stakeholders to structure data for analysis and reporting.
• Ensure data governance and security aligned with policies and regulations.
