Job summary

The CVS Health People Analytics team is seeking a Data Engineer who will design and optimize data pipelines, warehouse models, and analytics workflows across HR data sources. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with HR and IT stakeholders, and ensure data governance, security, and scalable analytics using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities include building ETL/ELT pipelines, modeling data for reporting in tools like Power BI or Tableau, and partnering with Workday data sources

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3+ years' experience in Data Engineering and ETL/ELT.
• 3+ years' experience with SQL and relational databases.
• 2+ years' experience programming in Python for data manipulation.
• 3+ years' experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 2+ years' experience with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery).
• 2+ years' experience with scheduling tools like Airflow or Composer.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage robust data pipelines and ETL processes for HR data.
• Develop and optimize data workflows for accuracy, quality, and availability.
• Oversee data engineers, providing mentorship on best practices.
• Structure data for analysis and create reproducible workflows for reporting.
• Ensure data governance and security per policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, and People Analytics to meet business requirements.
