Detroit Pistons is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Business Strategy & Analytics team in Detroit. You will develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines, data models, and integration processes within a Microsoft-based data environment.

The role supports the transition to a modern data lakehouse using Microsoft Fabric and collaborates with leadership to advance governance, quality, and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of professional data engineering, BI, or data warehousing experience
• Experience in a Microsoft data environment required

Responsabilités

• Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines, models, and integration processes in a Microsoft data environment
• Transition from traditional data warehouse to modern data lakehouse with Microsoft Fabric
• Build scalable ETL/ELT processes for reporting, analytics, and BI use cases
• Support design and implementation of Microsoft Fabric components like OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, notebooks, and Power BI integration
• Support data governance, quality, and enterprise data best practices
• Prepare governed data assets for reporting, analytics, automation, and AI applications
• Partner with analysts to ensure models meet business requirements and performance expectations
• Integrate data from multiple systems into data warehouse and lakehouse, monitor pipelines, and maintain documentation
