Artic Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to design and implement scalable data solutions within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. The role focuses on Power BI reporting, ETL/ELT pipelines, and advanced SQL/KTQL queries across Fabric, Synapse SQL, and SQL Server environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in Power BI development and data engineering.
• Strong expertise in T-SQL and KQL, with demonstrated query optimization skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric tools: Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, OneLake, Notebooks.
• Hands-on experience with Spark/PySpark and data integration from varied sources.
• Microsoft Power BI certification (PL-300) or equivalent certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, KPIs, and scorecards.
• Build and orchestrate ETL/ELT workflows using Fabric Data Pipelines and Azure Data Factory.
• Write and tune T-SQL and KQL queries for performance in Synapse SQL and SQL Server.
• Implement star/snowflake data models and modern Data Warehousing/Lakehouse architectures with Fabric.
• Integrate structured and unstructured data sources and transform them using Fabric notebooks or Dataflows.
• Diagnose and resolve pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks across the lifecycle.
• Automate data processes using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, PowerShell, or Python in Fabric.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Ensure data governance, privacy, and compliance standards are followed.
