Aramark is seeking a Data Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to help evolve our enterprise data platform. The role offers hands-on work with cloud-native data products, dbt transformations, and data pipelines, with an eye toward a future Junior Data Engineer role upon successful completion and graduation.

The 10–12 week program is based at our Philadelphia headquarters in a hybrid setup, requiring local or relocation for the summer and onsite work in a hybrid capacity.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in CS/DE/DS, graduating 2027–2029.
• Strong Python and SQL fundamentals.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) via coursework or projects.
• Familiarity with dbt and data modeling concepts.
• Experience with Snowflake or Databricks is a plus.
• Spark/real-time streaming or distributed data processing is a plus.
• Git and CI/CD concepts familiarity is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Write and review code with the data engineering team to build fundamentals.
• Gain hands-on with cloud-native data product components used across Aramark.
• Support data platform capabilities and self-service analytics.
• Assist design and operation of data pipelines including monitoring.
• Shadow integration between on-prem and cloud platforms.
• Work on data transformation tasks with dbt alongside seniors.
• Learn CI/CD for data and code review practices.
• Take on a summer capstone project and present results.
