Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Atlanta offers a 12-week paid Data Engineering internship to work on the Data Platform. You will architect, optimize, and maintain data pipelines, implement CDC with Python/SQL on GCP, and automate monitoring and alerting.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or related fields.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Responsibilities

Contribute to hands-on data engineering initiatives across the GFS Data Platform.
Architect, optimize, and maintain robust data pipelines and CDC processes using Python, SQL, and GCP.
Automate repetitive data platform tasks and assist in implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in an agile environment to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Onboard new enterprise data sources into the GCP data lake and manage analytics-ready datasets.
