Job summary

CURE Auto Insurance is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines powering analytics and data products for a P&C auto insurance business. You will collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, claims, product, and finance teams to deliver trusted data with governance and security controls.

The role focuses on building scalable batch/streaming pipelines, integrating core systems, and modeling analytical datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of data engineering experience with strong SQL and analytical modeling.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, validation, delivery).
• Integrate data from core systems (policy administration, billing, claims, CRM).
• Model and curate analytical datasets (policy, quote, exposure, premium, loss, claim).
• Implement data quality checks, anomaly detection, and reconciliation for metrics.
• Develop and maintain a data lake/warehouse (schema design, partitioning, performance tuning).
• Collaborate with governance and security teams on access controls, PII handling, retention.
