Job summary

Mobis Parts America, LLC. is seeking a Data Engineer III, Cloud to design, build, and maintain secure cloud data pipelines on Azure in Fountain Valley, CA. You will collaborate with BI developers, DBAs, analysts, and infra teams to ensure scalable data platforms.

You will implement end-to-end ETL/ELT workflows, support on-premises and cloud data sources, and optimize performance while expanding data warehouse and data lake architectures. Strong SQL, Python, and PowerShell skills are essential.

Qualifications

4 - 7 years of data engineering experience (Required)
3 - 5 years of Azure cloud experience (Preferred)
Experience with Power BI environments
Experience migrating on-premises systems to Azure
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Required)
Experience with: Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure ExpressRoute, and Azure Virtual Networks
Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, ETL / ELT, and data warehousing
Experience with Star Schema / Dimensional Modeling
Scripting: Python, PowerShell, SQL T-SQL / PostgreSQL

Job description

Mobis Parts America, LLC. builds and runs Azure-based data platforms that support enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence. In this onsite Data Engineer III, Cloud role in Fountain Valley, CA, you will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud data pipelines and infrastructure while working closely with business analysts, Power BI developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams.

What you’ll be doing

You will develop end-to-end ETL/ELT workflows, including automated batch and near real-time data integration. This includes integrating data from on-premises and cloud environments, troubleshooting production data workflows, and optimizing performance through tuning and query optimization.

Manage and support Azure Data Factory (ADF)

Manage and support Azure SQL Database and Azure PostgreSQL (Azure Database for PostgreSQL)
Manage and support Azure ExpressRoute, Gateway Servers, and Azure Virtual Networks
Configure networking, security groups, and access controls

Operational excellence matters. You will monitor platform availability and performance, handle maintenance activities, and respond to production incidents with root-cause analysis, while supporting availability and continuity needs.

High Availability (HA) and disaster recovery planning
Replication and failover configuration
Develop scripts and automation for operational tasks
Support CI/CD deployment processes
Automate monitoring, alerting, and maintenance activities

Salary and schedule

This exempt, annual-salary position offers an expected hiring range of $90,466.10 - $134,342.16, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with a flexible schedule at the discretion and approval of the Manager. No travel required.
