Job summary

DailyPay is seeking a Data Engineer II to join our Data Engineering Team. You will build and maintain ETL pipelines, design scalable data solutions, and partner with finance, sales, and product to empower analytics across the company.

You will work with SQL across large datasets, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and BI tools to deliver dashboards and reports. DailyPay offers equity, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 4+ years SQL experience; expert SQL capability
• Experience with data storage architectures (data lakes/lakehouses/warehouses)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Experience with large data volumes and scalable models
• Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau/Looker)
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Experience with Snowflake/BigQuery
• Familiarity with ETL tools (Fivetran/Stitch)
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical partners

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain company’s ETL and data pipelines
• Design and implement data testing and scaling capabilities
• Maintain and optimize monitoring and alerting for ETL, data warehouse, and analytics infra
• Optimize database performance while reducing warehouse costs
• Participate in code reviews and PRs for analytics engineering
• Produce and maintain data reports, analytics, metrics and dashboards
