Job summary

NationsBenefits is seeking a Data Engineer II in Plantation, FL to design, develop, and optimize enterprise data solutions in a healthcare environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Advanced SQL development skills, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Experience developing and supporting SSIS packages.
• Experience with PL/SQL development.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Healthcare industry experience with claims, provider, member, clinical, or operational healthcare data.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Databricks and SQL technologies.
• Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes across healthcare systems and enterprise data sources.
• Develop and support data warehouses, data marts, and analytical data models.
• Create, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and database objects.
• Develop and support SSIS packages and data integration workflows.
• Utilize Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake technologies to process and transform large datasets.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and applications teams to deliver data solutions.
• Monitor data quality and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues.
• Support HIPAA compliance, data governance, and data security initiatives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and data mappings.
