Amazon Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer II for Ring/Blink Customer Service Engineering and Insights in Hawthorne, CA.

You will own data platform foundations supporting analytics, AI initiatives, and downstream data consumption, while ensuring security, reliability, and compliance across AWS data infrastructure. Qualifications

3+ years of data engineering experience.
1+ years developing and operating large-scale BI analytics data structures using ETL/ELT processes.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS, Engineering, IS, Mathematics, or related field.
3+ years of SQL experience.

Responsibilities

Own and operate ETL pipelines and data infrastructure for analytics and AI initiatives.
Manage data access and permissions across AWS accounts and services; troubleshoot IAM and cross‑account access.
Own Airflow orchestration, focusing on execution monitoring, failure triage, and reliability.
Develop and support Python-based ETL jobs across EC2 and managed compute environments.
Identify and reduce technical debt in ETL pipelines and orchestration, driving improvements.
Ensure data governance and compliance across pipeline design and retention.
Collaborate with BI engineers to ensure outputs are validated for consumption.
Create runbooks and operational documentation for scalability and on‑call readiness.
Identify risks and independently drive scoped initiatives from investigation to production.
