Job summary

DailyPay is seeking a Data Engineer II to join our Data Engineering Team in New York. You will build and maintain ETL pipelines, design data tests, and optimize analytics infrastructure to empower finance, sales, and operations with reliable insights.

You will work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), data warehouses, and BI tools, balancing performance with cost. Strong SQL and communication skills are essential to translate technical data into actionable business results.

Qualifications

• 4+ years SQL experience
• Interest in using AI to improve systems and query performance
• Experience with data storage architectures (data lakes/warehouses)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL/data pipelines
• Design and implement data testing and scaling capabilities
• Monitor and optimize ETL, data warehouse, and analytics infrastructure
• Optimize database performance and reduce warehouse costs
• Participate in code reviews for analytics engineering
• Produce and maintain data reports, dashboards and metrics
