Job summary

PayIt is seeking a Data Engineer in the United States to collaborate with the Data Engineering team and ensure high-quality data is accessible through reporting, data visualization, data warehouse, and BI tools. You will help build ETL pipelines, data models, and reconciliation systems across multiple data sources.

The role requires strong SQL, Python, and cloud experience (AWS preferred). You will work with dbt, Dagster or Airflow, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Tableau, and Looker to enable analytical

Qualifications

• Strong SQL experience handling large volumes of data and data modeling with dbt.
• Expertise in Python with test-driven development.
• Experience deploying software to public cloud infrastructure – AWS (preferred).
• Experience with RDBMS, NoSQL and cloud data storage – Postgres, Snowflake, MongoDB as applicable.
• Experience building ETL solutions and transforming data between sources.
• Experience with data orchestration tools like Dagster, Prefect or Airflow.
• Experience building solutions for analytical reporting and business intelligence.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker or Superset.
• Experience building or working on reconciliation systems for data verification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the data engineering team to provide high-quality data access across reporting, BI tools, and data warehouses.
• Contribute to building scalable data pipelines and data models.
• Support data quality initiatives and reconciliation across sources.
