Job summary

ICW Group is seeking a Data Engineer II to own the operational health of our data platform stack, handling production workloads and ensuring uptime, data quality, and cost efficiency. You will monitor pipelines, perform root cause analysis, and maintain runbooks and governance across on-premises and cloud data environments.

The role covers platform administration, RBAC, schema changes, and collaboration with Data Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, data platform support or production support of data systems.
• Experience administering a data lakehouse or data warehouse with RBAC, user management, and governance.
• SQL proficiency to troubleshoot, validate, and maintain production data systems.
• Insurance industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Production Support & Operational Reliability: own production health of data pipelines and workloads; monitor, triage, and resolve issues; maintain runbooks and documentation.
• Data Platform Administration & Governance: manage access control, configurations, cost and security policies; support BI platform administration and governance.
• Data Infrastructure Monitoring & Observability: monitor with cloud tools, build dashboards, and maintain observability tooling.
• Small Enhancements & Continuous Improvement: implement config updates, performance tuning, and automation; support regulatory data initiatives.
• Collaboration & Coordination: work with Data Eng teams and other groups to ensure operational consistency and data quality.
