Job summary

Pacific Life in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Data Engineer II to join our Customer Data team on-site starting June 2026. You will design, develop, and support the customer data platform within Snowflake on AWS, contributing to reliable data assets and governance.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and business partners, build ETL/ELT pipelines with dbt and Matillion, participate in Agile delivery with Azure DevOps, and apply AI-assisted tools to boost productivity

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering or related technical role.
• Hands-on with SQL-based data platforms, ETL/ELT development, and Snowflake.
• Experience with AWS, dbt, Matillion, CI/CD pipelines, or Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or Java.
• Ability to solve straightforward technical problems with established processes and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and support ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting customer data into Snowflake on AWS.
• Develop and maintain data transformations/models using dbt and Matillion.
• Participate in Agile delivery with Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with senior data engineers, architects, and business partners to understand data requirements.
• Utilize approved AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while ensuring governance and security standards.
