Qualifications

• Experience as a Data Engineer or similar role in banking/financial sector preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL).
• Experience with Python, Java, or Scala in data engineering.
• Knowledge of ETL, data integration, and data transformation practices.
• Experience with data warehouses/data lakes and data storage solutions.
• Familiarity with AWS,AWS/Azure/Google Cloud data services (S3, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Understanding data governance, data quality, and security practices.
• Experience with Hadoop/Spark or similar big data frameworks.
• Strong data modeling and database design fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data infrastructure including pipelines, databases, and warehouses.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes for multi-source data ingestion.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to satisfy analytics needs.
• Implement data governance, quality, and security across data lifecycles.
• Model data and design databases to support integration and retrieval.
• Monitor and optimize data engineering systems for performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with IT to integrate data solutions with existing apps.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
• Mentor junior data engineers and share knowledge.
• Document data engineering processes and architectures.
