Job summary

Yes Energy in Boulder, CO is seeking a Data Engineer on the Bid-to-Bill Operations Engineers team. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, customer operations, and market execution to resolve production challenges and build automation that reduces friction and improves customer outcomes.

You will develop and maintain software and database solutions using C#, SQL Server, and related technologies, while enhancing observability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent working experience.
• A minimum of 3 years experience with C#, JavaScript.
• Strong skills in SQL and MS SQL Server.
• We actively use AI-assisted development, automation, and operational tooling; leverage AI to investigate, code, document, test, and automate.
• Strong written and verbal communication across team and with clients.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to investigate and resolve complex operational/technical issues.
• Serve as a trusted technical resource during production incidents and escalations.
• Identify recurring problems and build automation to eliminate them.
• Improve system observability with monitoring, alerts, dashboards, and diagnostic tooling.
• Reduce manual effort through workflow and process automation.
• Develop and maintain software and database solutions using C#, SQL Server, and related technologies.
• Improve reliability, performance, and maintainability of production systems.
• Document operational knowledge and share with the team.
