Job summary
ICW Group is seeking a Data Engineer II to own the operational health of its data platform stack in San Diego. You will manage production workloads, monitor pipelines, and ensure uptime, data quality, and cost efficiency across the data ecosystem.
You will collaborate with Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Infrastructure, and Project teams to maintain governance, runbooks, and observability, delivering reliable data services for analytics across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS, math, engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years in Data Engineering or production data systems.
- Experience administering data lakehouse/warehouse with RBAC, user management, and governance.
Responsibilities
- Own production health of data pipelines and workloads.
- Provide production support for on-prem and cloud data pipelines.
- Monitor, triage, and resolve pipeline failures and SLA adherence.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and enterprise teams on governance and observability.
