Job summary

The Boar’s Head Analytics team is seeking a Data Engineer II to help build and sustain the enterprise data warehouse and analytics pipelines. You will create scalable data pipelines using Kafka, Flink, and ClickHouse, and support data storage, processing, and retrieval to empower company-wide analytics and operations.

You will collaborate with Business and IT teams, design reliable data architectures, and ensure data quality through validation and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or equivalent with data streaming, data wrangling, data modeling, and/or data analytics.
• Experience with data streaming technologies such as Kafka and Apache Flink; knowledge of ClickHouse is a plus.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python or Java).
• Knowledge of Tableau (or equivalent) analytics tool is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across Business and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain optimal data pipelines using Kafka, Flink and ClickHouse.
• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure to support data storage, processing, and retrieval.
• Assemble large, complex data sets meeting functional / non-functional requirements.
• Identify and implement internal process improvements for data delivery and scalability.
• Assist analytics teams with Tableau-based insights that drive business metrics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address data-related technical issues and data quality needs.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data governance and SOPs.
• Support data validation, testing, and end-to-end data warehouse integrity.
