Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking a Data Engineer I to design and develop data-centric applications supporting clinical and operational workflows across the health system. You will build scalable pipelines, automate processes, and mentor junior engineers while adopting emerging technologies to improve repeatability.

You will work with Product, Platform, and Architecture teams to ensure reliable delivery, with a focus on reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of Providence's enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience; senior-level ownership of production data operations.
• 1+ year of related experience in Snowflake, CTRL-M, and ADF.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Collaborate with Product, Platform and Architecture teams to ensure alignment and delivery.
• Automate and monitor production pipelines; resolve incidents and meet SLAs.
• Implement observability, logging, data-quality checks and runbooks; optimize cost and performance.
