Job summary

Mutual of Omaha Insurance Co. is seeking a Data Engineer I/II to own data pipelines and support a Teradata to Snowflake migration from a remote setting. You’ll work with DAS to ensure reliable data delivery for retail applications and reporting.

You will build ETL processes, optimize SQL, and collaborate with engineering and business teams in an autonomous, fast-moving environment with opportunities to grow into senior engineering roles.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Advanced SQL and stored procedures experience.
• Hands-on with Teradata, Snowflake, Oracle, and DB2.
• Strong ETL experience using Informatica / IDMC.
• Unix scripting and GitHub familiarity.
• Able to work in an Agile team and learn AWS Glue.

Responsibilities

• Build, debug, and maintain ETL pipelines across systems.
• Support migration from Teradata to Snowflake and ensure data compatibility.
• Write advanced SQL and manage stored procedures.
• Partner with teams consuming DAS data and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Mentor developers and contribute to data quality initiatives.
