Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Data Engineer to build and deploy data solutions that enable AI, ML, and BI initiatives. You will transform and contextualize data across the enterprise, translating stories found in data into actionable insights.

Ideal candidates will have Snowflake, SQL, and ETL experience, plus familiarity with AWS services and data modeling concepts. This role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a strong opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent.
• Six years of related experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL with hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Experience building ETL pipelines using AWS, dbt or other ETL tools.
• Understanding of AWS services and data architecture patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize complex data solutions, correct problems and propose data quality improvements.
• Design data solutions and evaluate data sources for analytical use.
• Assess data value and determine which data to include in analytics.
• Incorporate data governance, security and quality practices.
• Collaborate across teams to support delivery and educate end users on data products.
• Test data movement, transformation code and data components; resolve defects.
