Job summary

ZincFive is seeking a Data Engineer I to join our headquarters team in Tualatin, OR. You will develop and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines, working with Python, SQL, Spark, and Delta Lake to support NiZn-based products and manufacturing data. Role reports to the Lead Software Engineer.

You will contribute to data governance, participate in code reviews, and help ensure pipeline reliability and data quality across Azure Databricks environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 0-2 years of professional experience in data engineering, software development, analytics engineering, or a related field.
• Experience using Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL processes, and structured data formats.
• Basic understanding of software-development practices, including version control and code review.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure Databricks.
• Implement pipeline components using Python, SQL, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Ingest data from files, cloud storage, databases, APIs, telemetry systems, and other approved sources.
• Develop bronze, silver, and gold data transformations using medallion architecture.
