Job summary

Ascot Group is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data Integration & Delivery Team. You will analyze, develop, test, and support data warehouse projects, including Phinsys and the Data & Integration Hub, with a hybrid office schedule.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in IS/CS/Data Analytics or related field and 2+ years in a data warehouse role. Proficiency in SSIS, Informatica, and ADF, plus strong SQL, are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, data analytics, or related field.
• 2+ years as a Data Analyst/Engineer for a large Data Warehouse with large data sets.
• Proficiency with ETL tools: SSIS, Informatica, ADF.
• Experience in Commercial and/or Specialty insurance is a plus.
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling understanding.
• Coding/ scripting for ETL and data validation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Data Engineer Level 1 for projects, enhancements, and production support.
• Analyze and support assigned projects with hands-on development.
• Assist in estimation and scoping based on business requirements.
• Contribute to designs and technical specifications.
• Validate data integration accuracy and data model conformity.
• Lead/coordinate production implementations for quality releases.
• Collaborate with Ascot and vendor resources to ensure timeliness.
