Job summary

Spatial Front, Inc. seeks a Data Engineer to support our modernization team, designing and maintaining enterprise ETL processes and data warehouses for reporting and analytics on government systems.

The role focuses on data movement, quality, and organization, collaborating with BI developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams. Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one; onsite/hybrid in Crystal City, VA.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one.
• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering, ETL development, data warehousing, database development, or related enterprise data experience.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle or comparable relational databases.
• Experience designing, developing, troubleshooting, and supporting ETL processes in complex enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM data structures or HR data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise ETL and data integration processes.
• Analyze existing ETL workflows and optimize or replace legacy logic.
• Develop batch and incremental data loads and load analytical warehouse structures.
• Develop and maintain transformation logic using SQL/ETL tools and scripting languages.
• Collaborate with BI developers, DBAs, and application teams to deliver robust data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot ETL jobs, data-quality issues, and production data discrepancies.
• Support scheduling, orchestration, and monitoring of ETL workflows.
