Job summary

Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI) is seeking a Data Engineer to support our modernization team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain enterprise ETL processes and analytical data warehouse structures supporting PeopleSoft HCM and related systems.

Location: Crystal City, VA—On-Site/Hybrid. The role involves collaboration with BI developers, DBAs, application teams, and infrastructure staff to deliver reliable, scalable data pipelines for Federal Government customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data engineering, ETL development or data warehousing.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle or similar databases.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling (facts, dimensions, star schemas).
• Excellent written and verbal communication in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain ETL and data integration processes.
• Analyze ETL workflows and optimize legacy data-processing logic.
• Develop batch and incremental data loads for analytical warehouses.
• Create and maintain transformation rules and source-to-target mappings.
• Collaborate with BI, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to ensure data quality.
