Job summary

Acrisure seeks a Software Engineer, Data (L2) in Austin, onsite four days a week to build scalable data models and pipelines across the enterprise data platform. You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust analytics and operational data assets, using Python, Scala, Java, and SQL.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, mentoring engineers, and transitioning Palantir Foundry integrations with BigQuery, Databricks, Azure, and Postgres in a cloud-first environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, data lakes, or software engineering with a data focus.
• Strong data modeling skills and ability to work with business stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, and Scala.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, BigQuery, or Palantir for building enterprise data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new datasets into the data platform rapidly.
• Design high-quality data models supporting operational and analytical needs.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Take ownership and mentor team members through reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and act as a forward-deployed engineer.
