Job description

This is a remote, long-term, 1-year contract position for our client. - REMOTE

Requirements:

1. Experience with Databricks is essential. We are seeking a leader who is passionate about Databricks and can work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
2. Design and develop ETL processes to transform various raw data sources, including flat files and Excel spreadsheets, into SQL databases.
3. Understand the concepts of data marts and data lakes, with experience migrating legacy systems to these architectures.
4. Utilize additional cloud technologies, such as understanding cloud services like Azure SQL Server.
5. Demonstrate an aptitude for learning new technologies through continuous research, analysis, and process improvement.
6. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with team members, including customers, contractors, end users, and management.
7. Manage multiple projects and responsibilities, prioritizing effectively.

Experience Needed:

• Programming languages and frameworks such as Python, SQL, PLSQL, and VB.
• Database platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
• Big data concepts and technologies, especially Synapse and Databricks.
