B5 Recruiting is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer for a client opportunity supporting cybersecurity, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) and AI-enabled automation. You will build and maintain data pipelines, models, and integrations behind risk reporting, controls monitoring, and audit-ready evidence.

The ideal candidate brings practical data engineering and software development experience with an understanding of risk and compliance in complex enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering with hands-on Python and SQL.
• Experience delivering production data pipelines for batch or streaming.
• Experience deploying cloud-based solutions with IaC, APIs, and secret management.
• Experience with data governance, PII protection, and audit readiness.
• Experience supporting GRC processes and integrations with GRC platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable batch and streaming data pipelines for security data and compliance records.
• Create data models for risk indicators, controls, and audit evidence.
• Establish data validation, metadata management, lineage tracking, and access controls.
• Build AI-assisted solutions using RAG and LLM-enabled workflows.
• Connect data platforms with GRC tools via APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Collaborate with cyber, risk, privacy, and legal teams to translate requirements into controls.
