Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to build governed data foundations powering cyber risk, compliance evidence, and AI-enabled workflows. You will design production-grade pipelines, data models for risk and controls, and enable self-service analytics with strong governance and auditability.

This Senior Consultant role bridges data engineering with Governance, Risk, and Compliance in regulated environments, partnering with Cyber, Risk, Compliance, Privacy, and Legal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of data engineering and software development experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience building production data pipelines and data models for batch/stream processing and cloud deployments.
• Experience implementing data governance controls including classification, PII handling, least-privilege access, encryption, and lineage/metadata management.
• Experience supporting governance, risk, and compliance workflows including risk reporting, audits, controls monitoring, and LLM-enabled applications.
• Willingness to travel 0-25% on average; immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable batch and stream processing pipelines ingesting security telemetry and compliance artifacts.
• Design data models for risk, controls, and audit evidence with self-service analytics in mind.
• Implement data quality checks, lineage, metadata, and access controls for auditability.
• Develop AI-enabled capabilities to accelerate governance, risk, and compliance and cyber operations.
• Engineer integrations between data platforms and governance/ GRC workflows with observability and runbooks.
• Collaborate with Cyber, Risk, Compliance, Privacy, and Legal to translate requirements into implementable controls.
