Job summary
Greenleaf Trust seeks a Data Engineer in Kalamazoo, MI to design, develop, and maintain the enterprise data platform. You will build and optimize SQL databases, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data movement across internal and external systems, collaborating with BIS and stakeholders.
You will assist with modern cloud transitions, including Microsoft Fabric and data lake architectures, while ensuring data governance and security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-5 years of data engineering, database development, or related roles.
- Experience creating and supporting data integration processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases, data warehouse, and related structures.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and objects.
- Administer and tune enterprise database environments for performance and reliability.
- Design scalable data models for operational and analytical workloads.
- Design, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
- Manage data movement between internal and external systems via APIs and integrations.
- Develop automated data import/export/transform/validate processes.
- Troubleshoot data integration issues and participate in migrations/modernization.
