Job summary

HeadHR is seeking a Data Engineer for a data-centric team. You will develop ETL/ELT pipelines and data marts following SA specifications.

You will optimize Greenplum workloads, implement partitioning, and ensure data quality and SLA adherence across scalable data platforms. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and strong SQL/Python skills are essential. The role offers exposure to distributed architectures and the chance to influence data strategy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL skills with complex queries, window functions, and large tables.
• Advanced Python proficiency.
• Extensive Greenplum experience, distributed architecture, distribution keys and partitioning.
• Knowledge of Data Vault and star/snowflake data modeling.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines, code reviews.
• Ability to read and analyze source system documentation and collaborate with owners.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
• Implement data mart prototypes in Greenplum with incremental loading and idempotency.
• Optimize queries and data marts in Greenplum (distribution, partitioning, EXPLAIN ANALYZE).
• Configure pipeline orchestration, monitoring and alerting.
• Perform data quality checks and ensure SLAs for datamart freshness.
