Job summary

Peoples Gas System in Florida seeks a Data Engineer to design, implement, and maintain complex database systems and data models supporting analytics and decision-making. You will work with IT and business stakeholders to ensure governance, data migration, and reliable data Infrastructure.

With 5+ years of related experience, you will contribute to data sources, ingestion, and AI strategies while adhering to SDLC and company standards through collaborative, detail-oriented execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of related work experience or 2 years as a DBA or Data Engineer.
• Proficiency in Python, R or SQL for database programming.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA or similar DBMS.
• Cloud data platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Strong organization, accuracy and teamwork.
• Good interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain data models and data processes to support analytics.
• Plan production data model updates following SDLC and governance.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to enable data migration and governance.
• Provide guidance on SQL/NoSQL coding for performance.
