Wire IT, based in Portugal, is seeking a data engineer to design and optimize scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL. You will work with Azure and Snowflake in a global, cross-functional team to turn enterprise data into governed data products.

The role emphasizes collaboration with data scientists and IT, cloud-native engineering, and adherence to data quality and governance standards; experience with GenAI tools is a plus.

Competenze

• Strong experience with Python, SQL, data modelling, and ETL/ELT development.
• Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing production data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud-native data engineering, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data platforms.
• Understanding of data quality, orchestration, observability, access management, and data governance in enterprise environments.
• Ability to collaborate with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, business stakeholders, and local IT teams in international environments.
• Familiarity with GenAI software engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or OpenCode.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to transform complex enterprise data into reliable, governed data products.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
