Job summary

Lingaro seeks an Azure Data Engineer with Databricks experience to design and implement scalable data pipelines on the Azure cloud. You will work with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver robust ETL workflows and data storage solutions.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL and Python (PySpark) skills, familiarity with data warehousing concepts, and a solid grasp of Agile practices. Effective communication is essential for success in cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure cloud-based infrastructure and Databricks implementations.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (PySpark for big data tasks).
• Strong communication skills to convey technical details to stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and related tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps).
• English at least B2 level, ideally C1.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data processing systems on Azure, writing scalable code for large datasets.
• Build data pipelines to ingest data from databases, APIs, or streaming platforms.
• Transform and integrate data to fit target data models or formats.
• Design and optimize data storage (data lakes, data warehouses, distributed file systems).
• Tune performance, optimize storage, and implement caching to speed data retrieval.
