Job summary

Rentschler Biopharma in Milford, MA seeks an IT Data Engineer to design, build, and operate data platforms and pipelines enabling data-driven decisions across manufacturing, quality, and labs. The role focuses on integrating diverse systems while migrating toward Microsoft Fabric and Azure services.

You will partner with global Data & Analytics teams to drive adoption, innovation, and business value, collaborating with stakeholders in Milford and worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Informatics, Bioinformatics, or a comparable field highly preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or a comparable IT role.
• Solid programming skills, preferably SQL or Python.
• Experience with Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory and Synapse Analytics; Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
• Experience with agile software development, ETL/ELT processes, and databases (MS SQL).
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices for data solutions.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data products supporting business and operational processes.
• Integrate source systems such as Manufacturing, Quality, Laboratory, MES, LIMS, ERP, and other business systems into the enterprise analytics platform.
• Develop, support, and enhance data solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, and related Azure services.
• Implement and monitor data quality checks across pipelines and data products and resolve data quality issues in collaboration with business and system owners.
• Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline and data integration issues and support the resolution of platform issues.
• Apply and contribute to global Data & Analytics standards and good engineering practices.
• Clarify requirements with stakeholders in coordination with the global team and implement them as technical solutions.
• Document solutions and share knowledge with users and team members.
