Job summary

IsI Enterprises is hiring a Data Engineer to build and govern data pipelines powering AI-driven automation across security and managed services units. You will own Snowflake data modeling and AWS infrastructure, ensuring secure, auditable, and AI-ready datasets.

Collaborate with AI architects and engineers to prepare data for LLMs and automation, embed security in every pipeline, and optimize cost and performance in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship proof and ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance.
• 4+ years of experience designing, building, and operating data pipelines in production.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience (data modeling, RBAC, masking, and cost optimization).
• Experience deploying and operating AWS infrastructure (S3, Lambda, ECS, IAM, VPC).
• Hands-on Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Experience with Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect and dbt.
• Experience building integrations with REST APIs and third-party SaaS platforms.
• Experience using Git and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Model data in Snowflake across raw, curated, and consumption layers.
• Administer and optimize Snowflake and AWS infrastructure (S3, Lambda, ECS, IAM).
• Prepare data for LLM and automation use cases (RAG, embeddings, vector stores).
• Ensure security, data governance, encryption, access controls, and compliance.
• Monitor pipeline health, cost, and performance in production.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, document architectures, and review code.
• Contribute through agile ceremonies and tooling.
