Job summary

IsI Enterprises seeks a Data Engineer to join our AI & Automation team. You will own the Snowflake data platform and AWS infra, building scalable pipelines to turn fragmented data into trusted AI-ready datasets while enforcing security and governance.

Collaborate with the AI Solutions Architect and AI Software Engineer, delivering reliable data products for Defense-related clients with a strong emphasis on data protection, RBAC, and auditable data flows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, building, and operating data pipelines in production
• Proficient in SQL and Python
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Snowflake data modeling, RBAC, masking & cost optimization
• AWS infra design and deployment (S3, Lambda, ECS, IAM)
• Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Experience with Airflow, Dagster or Prefect & dbt
• REST APIs integrations
• AI tooling experience
• Git and CI/CD practices
• Strong problem-solving and communication
• Able to work in Agile environment

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines
• Model data in Snowflake across raw, curated, and consumption layers
• Administer Snowflake platforms and AWS infrastructure
• Support AI/Automation data prep for LLM and embeddings
• Ensure secure data practices: encryption, least privilege, data classification
• Monitor pipelines for health, cost, and reliability
• Collaborate with stakeholders; contribute to code reviews and docs
• Leverage AI tooling to accelerate development and delivery
