Job summary

Danaher is seeking a Senior Data Platform Automation Engineer to automate and optimize its Enterprise Data Platform (Snowflake, Matillion, dbt, Airflow) and to architect AI-driven operations. The role is remote in the United States and reports to the Director – Data Platform and Operations within the Enterprise Data Engineering team.

You will design IaC, CI/CD and self-service capabilities, drive platform reliability, and leverage Azure AI Foundry and Claude for incident triage and automation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering, DataOps, DevOps/SRE, or platform engineering
• Hands-on with Snowflake, Matillion, dbt and Apache Airflow to automate ingestion, orchestration and transformation
• Proven IaC/CI/CD experience with Terraform or Pulumi and GitHub Actions or GitLab; strong Python skills
• Experience with LLM/agent apps using Azure AI Foundry, Claude, OpenAI, LangGraph or similar tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
• Travel up to 10% domestically and occasionally internationally

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage IaC solutions for Snowflake, Azure, Matillion, and Airflow
• Build and maintain enterprise CI/CD capabilities for Snowflake objects and data pipelines
• Automate and optimize data platform operations with event-driven workflows and drift detection
• Develop AI-driven platform operations and developer enablement solutions
• Establish observability and reliability through telemetry, SLOs, and auto-remediation
