Job summary

Ethereum Technologies is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design scalable data models and pipelines aligned with business goals. You will develop complex DBT models, optimize Snowflake configurations, and implement data quality frameworks.

Collaboration with leadership to translate requirements into technical solutions and mentoring juniors are key aspects of this role. Responsibilities include performance tuning, building reusable DBT components, reviewing PRs, and documenting data

Qualifications

• SQL with advanced features (CTEs, joins, analytic/windowing functions).
• Python experience, preferably intermediate or higher.
• Snowflake real-world experience preferred.
• Data profiling to identify keys, cardinality, precision, scale, and data skew.
• Strong communication within the team and with other groups.
• Understanding of product scope and QA for end-to-end delivery.

Mandatory skills

• SQL: Highly Skilled.
• Must be familiar with common table elements (CTEs), complex joins, and analytic & windowing functions.
• Python: Some experience is required. We prefer Intermediate or higher skill.
• Snowflake: Prefer candidates with real-world experience using Snowflake.
• Data Profiling: Must be able to identify unique and primary keys and determine cardinality, data type, precision, and scale, and skew.
• Effective communication skills to communicate internally within our team and externally across other teams, notably.
• Product and QA Understands the scope and context of the work and takes initiative to achieve the goals, rather than waiting to take specific direction.
