Job summary

Quantum Technologies. LLC is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and implement enterprise Snowflake-based data warehouse architectures in a cloud environment. You will define standards, optimize complex SQL, and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, working with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

The role requires hands-on Snowflake expertise, Python scripting, and a strong background in data modeling and security, RBAC, and data governance across AWS/Azure/GCP platforms.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Data Architecture.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and implementation.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake cloud data warehouse architecture.
• Advanced SQL programming and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Snowflake scripting.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise-level data warehouse architectures using Snowflake.
• Define data architecture strategies, standards, and best practices for cloud-based data platforms.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and Snowflake objects.
• Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
• Work with Snowflake features such as Virtual Warehouses, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, and Dynamic Tables.
• Develop data integration solutions using tools such as Informatica, Matillion, Fivetran, dbt, or Talend.
• Implement data modeling techniques, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and dimensional modeling.
• Optimize query performance, warehouse utilization, and overall Snowflake cost management.
• Implement data security, role-based access control (RBAC), masking policies, and row-level security.
• Establish data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data lineage standards.
• Integrate Snowflake with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, data analysts, and application teams.
• Mentor development teams and provide technical guidance on Snowflake best practices.

Required Technical Skills:

• 8–12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Data Architecture.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and implementation.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake cloud data warehouse architecture.
• Advanced SQL programming and performance tuning.
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT development and data integration.
• Expertise in data modeling, dimensional modeling, and database design.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Snowflake scripting.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Snowflake security, governance, and access management.
