Job summary

Robotics Technologies LLC in California is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and build enterprise data warehouses on Snowflake, optimize performance, and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.

You will partner with analytics and engineering teams to establish data governance, security, and metadata standards while mentoring junior engineers and driving architecture reviews.

This role requires hands-on cloud experience and a proactive, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise data warehouse architectures on Snowflake.
• Define data architecture standards for cloud platforms.
• Develop and optimize SQL, stored procedures, and Snowflake objects.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for ingestion and transformation.
• Leverage Snowflake features: Virtual Warehouses, Snowpipe, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning.
• Implement data integration with Informatica, Matillion, Fivetran, dbt, or Talend.
• Model data using Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Optimize query performance and Snowflake cost management.
• Apply data security, RBAC, masking, and row-level security.
• Establish governance, data quality, metadata, and lineage standards.
• Integrate Snowflake with AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Lead architecture reviews and PoC initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and apps teams.
• Mentor development teams on Snowflake best practices.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise-level data warehouse architectures using Snowflake.
• Define data architecture strategies, standards, and best practices for cloud-based data platforms.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and Snowflake objects.
• Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
• Work with Snowflake features such as Virtual Warehouses, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, and Dynamic Tables.
• Develop data integration solutions using tools such as Informatica, Matillion, Fivetran, dbt, or Talend.
• Implement data modeling techniques, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and dimensional modeling.
• Optimize query performance, warehouse utilization, and overall Snowflake cost management.
• Implement data security, role-based access control (RBAC), masking policies, and row-level security.
• Establish data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data lineage standards.
• Integrate Snowflake with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, data analysts, and application teams.
• Mentor development teams and provide technical guidance on Snowflake best practices.

Required Technical Skills:

• 8–12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Data Architecture.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and implementation.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake cloud data warehouse architecture.
• Advanced SQL programming and performance tuning.
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT development and data integration.
• Expertise in data modeling, dimensional modeling, and database design.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Snowflake scripting.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Snowflake security, governance, and access management.
