Job summary

Everforth Apex seeks a Data Engineer in Coppell, Texas (Hybrid) to lead end-to-end data initiatives within enterprise-scale platforms. The role focuses on designing scalable, secure AWS data solutions and Snowflake-based pipelines to support robust ETL and BI workflows.

You will implement real-time and batch integrations, optimize SQL performance, and collaborate in agile teams to deliver data models and analytics capabilities at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in data management with enterprise-scale platforms.
• Experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse required.
• Strong AWS cloud architecture experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Snowpark, Streams, Tasks, and Snowpipe.
• Experience with Jira in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex data initiatives end to end within analytical data warehousing and enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Design and support scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data solutions on AWS.
• Develop SQL/PLSQL procedures for robust data integration and transformation.
• Build real-time and batch data integration using Snowflake Snowpark, Streams, Tasks, and Snowpipe.
• Design, build, and operate agentic AI systems within Snowflake Data Cloud using Cortex AI.
• Drive data architecture decisions to enable BI at scale.
• Lead development of dimensional models including slowly changing dimensions.
• Tune SQL, monitor pipelines, diagnose root causes, and resolve data issues.
• Participate in Agile teams with sprint planning and documentation.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams.

Role Overview

An established organization in the financial services sector is seeking a skilled Data Engineer. The selected professional will lead complex data initiatives from end to end, contributing to the development of enterprise-scale data platforms. This hybrid opportunity requires collaboration within agile delivery teams to support robust data integration and transformation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex data initiatives end to end within analytical data warehousing and enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Design and support scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data solutions leveraging core AWS cloud architecture.
• Develop complex SQL and PL/SQL procedures to support robust, high-performance data integration and transformation frameworks.
• Build real-time and batch data integration solutions utilizing Snowflake services such as Snowpark, Streams, Tasks, and Snowpipe.
• Design, build, and operate agentic AI systems within the Snowflake Data Cloud using Cortex AI capabilities.
• Drive data architecture decisions by applying knowledge of logical and physical data models to enable business intelligence at scale.
• Lead the development of dimensional models, including slowly changing dimensions and various fact table designs.
• Conduct SQL performance tuning, proactive monitoring, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex data pipeline issues.
• Participate actively in Agile delivery teams, contributing to sprint planning, story design, estimation, and documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of seven years of experience in Data Management, with deep expertise in analytical data warehousing and enterprise-scale data platforms. A minimum of three years of hands‑on experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse is required.

Technical Skills: Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture and designing scalable data solutions. Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Snowpark, Streams, Tasks, and Snowpipe. Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling, dimensional modeling, and SQL performance tuning. Experience with Jira in Agile environments is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the financial services industry.
• Hands‑on experience implementing agentic AI systems within the Snowflake Data Cloud using Cortex AI.
