Job summary

Revel IT is building a new Columbus, Ohio engineering team for a UK-based technology consultancy. You will design and implement data pipelines, develop data products, and partner with clients to deliver reliable data solutions across banking, financial services, and defense sectors.

You will bring 3–6 years of data engineering experience, strong Python/SQL skills, and familiarity with Spark/Databricks, cloud platforms, Airflow, CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure as code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or quantitative field with a minimum 3.3 GPA.
• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with Spark/Databricks, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Airflow, version control, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test data products to keep pace with changing business requirements and troubleshoot issues.

Our direct client is a UK based fast-growing global technology consultancy and they are building their new Columbus, Ohio engineering team. The firm builds custom technology solutions for clients in banking, financial services, private capital, and defense. You'll work on project-based engagements alongside data scientists, consultants, and client stakeholders, so no two projects look the same.

What you'll do:

• Design and build data pipelines that bring internal and external data into modern data platforms.
• Develop and test data products that keep pace with changing business requirements, and troubleshoot issues as they come up.
• Maintain systems for reliable, uninterrupted data access, and continuously check data quality and integrity.
• Work directly with clients and internal teams to make data more accessible and usable, and bring new analytics tools and methods into the work.

What you bring:

• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
• A degree in Computer Science or a quantitative field with a minimum 3.3 GPA. A top-ranked university is preferred.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with some or all of the following: Spark/Databricks, AWS/Azure/GCP, Airflow, version control, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• A track record of improving data reliability and quality.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working with clients.
• Interest or experience in financial services, risk management, or consulting is a plus.
