Job summary

Our client in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Data Engineer to design and build an Azure-based data platform supporting multiple data domains. You will construct data pipelines with Python, PySpark, Azure Databricks, and Data Factory, and develop securities reference data and pricing data platforms.

You will also develop APIs using Python/FastAPI and Azure services, collaborating with Data Strategy, Capital Markets, and technology teams while adhering to established standards.

Our client, a leading global financial services organization, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Data Strategy team. As a Data Engineer, you will support the development of a strategic data platform across client Securities Group. The ideal candidate will have strong technical problem-solving skills, collaboration abilities, and hands‑on data engineering expertise.

What’s the Job?

• Design and develop a strategic Azure-based data platform supporting multiple data domains.

What’s Needed?

• 10+ years of Data Engineering/software development experience with strong Python and PySpark skills.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure, Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Azure Databricks, Azure databases, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong SQL, ETL/ELT, data pipeline, and data platform development experience.
• Experience developing APIs using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks, along with Azure Functions/API Gateway.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, DevOps, and preferably financial services, securities, market data, or financial instruments.
