Data Engineer – Financial Services Industry | Chicago (On‑Site) | 120-140k

A leading organization in the financial services industry is expanding its Data team in Chicago. This role sits within an internal consulting group that partners with companies across Healthcare, Real Estate, Food & Beverage, and Business Services to transform messy data into meaningful insights.

You’ll work end‑to‑end across the Microsoft Data Stack—building pipelines, shaping data models, and delivering impactful Power BI dashboards that help clients make smarter decisions. This is a highly collaborative, client‑facing role with significant visibility and the chance to influence data strategy across multiple industries.

5 days a week on‑site in the Loop, so local candidates are essential.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain data pipelines using ADF and SQL/Python
• Support projects leveraging Databricks or Snowflake

What We’re Looking For

• Strong SQL and Python skills
• MUST Have background in Big 4 or data analytics consulting required
• Solid understanding of data modeling and warehouse concepts
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, or related fields
• Power BI certifications are a plus
