Job summary

Felsburg Holt & Ullevig (FHU) seeks an experienced transportation planner/engineer to lead modeling efforts and develop regional and corridor travel demand models. You will calibrate and validate models and forecast travel under various scenarios for corridor studies, NEPA documents, and long-range plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred in transportation planning/engineering or travel demand modeling.
• 5–15 years of experience in transportation planning, travel demand modeling, or transportation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation modeling efforts, develop, calibrate, and validate regional and corridor travel demand models.
• Perform travel forecasting to support corridor studies, NEPA documents, interchange studies, and long-range planning.
• Evaluate future scenarios involving roadway, transit, bicycle, pedestrian, freight, and emerging mobility investments.
• Analyze travel patterns using model outputs, traffic counts, socioeconomic forecasts, GIS, and mobility datasets.
• Support planning for transit, active transportation, Complete Streets, TSM&O, and emerging mobility technologies.
• Prepare technical memoranda, planning reports, visualizations, and presentations; communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
