Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Master's degree in accounting or MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 4 or more years' work experience in accounting.
• Manufacturing or cost accounting exposure preferred.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with management.
• Curious mindset to understand the 'why' behind numbers.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with established accounting policies and improve efficiency and controls.
• Own monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany transactions.
• Ensure accuracy of fixed asset system and depreciation recordings.
• Prepare month-end closing journal entries.
• Analyze financial results and identify trends.
• Prepare, report, and maintain Sales Tax compliance; Avalara experience a plus.
• Prepare monthly financial statement package.
• Collaborate with department leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Provide guidance for accounts payable & receivable; assist with audits.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information; perform other duties as assigned.
